So far, the results are quite promising. VRPlayin has successfully hosted 80 corporate events since the launch of our team building packages in October 2017. Our customers have ranged from startups to big corporations including all 5 major banks, Amazon, LinkedIn and the Government of Ontario. Not only does it make it fun, but effective team building can benefit from a bit of competitiveness – something to bring out a side of the personality of your colleagues that may not often be shown around the office. This allows team members to get to know their teammates better, building greater rapport and potentially other talents that may help them become better employees when back in the work environment. Aside from competition, cooperation is another factor that can really bring together a team. Imagine a VR zombie apocalypse setting where team members have to watch each others back in order to survive waves of Zombies. Obviously this is something that can’t be accomplished in real life, but that doesn’t mean the results are still not extremely rewarding.
On top of the all the fun, team building factors mentioned above, VRPlayin is fully aware of the challenges an event coordinator or a company faces. After we receive your inquiry, we send back our availabilities and packages, elaborating on all options including number of stations, people involved, alcohol packages, and catering options (seriously… trust us when we say we have the best caters in the city). Since we’ve built our new packages we’ve discovered there are a few things that most companies are looking for. These include the following:
- Fun Activities that require extensive communication and cooperation/competition – At VRPlayin, although each individual is in their own dedicated VR station, our proprietary VOIP system enables each team member to communicate with their teammates with low latency and crystal clear voice chat as soon as they put on the Virtual Reality Headset. - Room to be social – Besides the VR action, people like to chat and bond through casual and personal conversations. All of this requires additional space, and VRPlayin has you covered, with long benches, bar counters and stools for people to chat anywhere.
- Places to drink… – This is not something any Virtual Reality playground can offer. It requires experienced managers and carefully trained service personnels who, most importantly, must be licensed and examined by AGCO.
